My First Ethical Dilemma Discussion

You have the ability to hack into the school computer system. You can change people's grades. Would you change your own? Why or why not? What if you could change the grade for a basketball player who has a scholarship to play for a big university?

Hacking2

In My Humble Opinion, It is WRONG! My Reasoning, If you have a bad grade then wouldn't it make sense then to work harder to EARN that Good Grade then IT IS TO HACK YOURSELF A GOOD GRADE THAT YOU DIDN'T EARN AND POSSIABLY DON'T DESERVE!...I...I just don't understand why anybody would do this...cheating and...lying scheme.

Besides that, THINK OF THE CONSEQUENCES, like the law punishes hacking under the computer crime statutes. These crimes carry penalties ranging from a class B misdemeanor (punishable by up to six months in prison, a fine of up to $1,000, or both) to a class B felony (punishable by up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $15,000, or both). Which I learned from this website down here->

Penalties for Computer Hacking

Also if you say"Um...Actually kids don't do that anymore, kids today know better like my beautiful straight-A angel.", Ok just know that one of these situations happen not so long ago. On May 7 2018, David Rotaro, a 16-year-old student at Ygnacio Valley High School in Concord, was charged last week with 14 felony counts, including unauthorized use of entering network. This California teen hacked into his school district's computer system using a phishing email. All to mess with his classmates' grades and give himself stellar marks, according to local reports. Which I also learned this website down here->

New York Post

So Parent or Caretaker of a child, is your "Angel" really earning their good grades OR are they hacking himself good grades?
